Tip of the Month: Omaha
Texas Hold'em set the tone for poker, now Omaha brings it up a notch.
By using similar rules to Hold'em, players use 2 out of 4 pocket cards on a flop of 3, giving each player 6 possible hands.

In the North America casinos, the term "Omaha" refers to several poker games.
The original game is known as "Omaha High".
A high-low split variant can also be played, which is known as "Omaha Hi-Lo",
"Omaha Eight-or-Better" or "Omaha/8".

In Europe, "Omaha"refers to the high version of the game, usually played in Pot-Limit.
Pot-Limit Omaha is abbreviated as "PLO".
Pot-Limit and No-Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better can be found in some online casinos, though No-Limit is seldom found.

The differences between Omaha and Texas Hold'em are as follows:
Players are dealt 4 cards to their private hand instead of 2.
The betting rounds and layout of the community cards are identical.
At showdown, every player's hand is the best 5-card hand he can make from exactly 3 of the 5 cards on the board, plus exactly 2 of his own cards.
Unlike Texas Hold'em, a player cannot play 4 or 5 of the cards on the board with fewer than 2 of his own.
