Newton, Mass - Golden Palace, traded a set of 500 unique poker chips for a
60 cent check.
Reporter Aaron Todd won the money in a free tournament on an Internet Poker site whilst researching the site to write about it.
He planned to play real money games with his 60 cents until he made either $100
or lost it all. The site no longer allows U.S. customers to play for real money,
so he asked them to send a check.
He decided to make a series of trades until someone offered him the $10,000 buy-in
for the Main Event of the WSOP.
